updates

Recently we have updated the web site to incorporate sections for the gallery. Hopefully this will make it nice and easy to navigate.

I have just completed a project of five cupboards made from an African Wenge and Canadian rippled maple. The interior was painted in a deep plum red which works really well creating a bit of a hidden feature which is a surprise when you open the doors.

Moving on now to a commercial project of a chest of drawers made from American Black Walnut with tongue and groove paneled sides, should be interesting.

Welcome

Hi, I am a furniture maker working in Hitchin in Hertfordshire. I am new to blogging but I aim to give a little insight into how my furniture is made and any helpful tips and advice i have learnt along the way. I will add pictures of some of my previous projects and of my current ones just to give a quick look into the different stages of the builds.

I hope you enjoy this and any comments you would like to make on it please do not hesitate to email me on snichollfurniture@googlemail.com. If you would like to view any more of my work my gallery is available on http://www.snichollfurniture.co.uk/index.html

Thank you for your time,

Simon Nicholl
